Dheeradj van der Geest is a jewelry designer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He grew up in Surinam: a sunny country in northern South America. As a kid, he was fascinated by little inventions and jewelry. So he decided to combine these two and turn it into his daily profession. In 2009 he graduated from the Vakschool Schoonhoven: a unique Dutch polytechnical school.

Dheeradj combines the ancient craft with a modern flow. His greatest passion is to turn ordinary objects into wearable art. And to do so, he blends different materials like silver & gold with rubber, plastic or even grass. Instead of creating jewelry that is only meant to wear, he likes to create jewelry that you can interact with. His vision: "People unconsciously play with their bracelet, ring or pendant all the time. It gives them literally something to hold on to. I like to create jewelry that enhances that."
